Crazy January Challenge: phew!

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

Only a little stitching yesterday, but not a bad start:  finished the top of the etui, the needle book page, and half of the needle book.

Well, this challenge has been a lot of fun!  The ort jar is filling up with all kinds of pretty threads.

The past two weeks have been about less stressing about stitching and just doing it.  I have difficulty jumping in and starting projects — whether it’s choosing a project to begin, or worrying about whether I’ll stick with it or not — so this has been a great excuse to work on projects I’ve either been procrastinating or have just forgotten about.

The challenge has also inspired me to be a more frequent blogger – and now that there are so many WIPs to finish, I have more to blog about now, too.  So hopefully 2011 will be a year of more posts.

Thanks to Minna for starting this challenge, and thanks so much for following along with my challenge projects!

Now, back to stitching …

Crazy January Challenge: day 15

A Fair Maiden’s Etui by With My Needle
Cream linen (36 count)
Stitched with Crescent Colours, DMC, GAST

Last day of the challenge!  I saved one of the favorites in my stash for the final start:  I’ve been meaning to get around to this etui for a while now and am glad to finally begin working on it.

The Victorian Rose Sampler is coming along nicely.  I really enjoy working all the different specialty stitches.

One last daily progress report and thoughts about the challenge tomorrow …
